I think there is something in all of us wishing to bloom,
and sometimes having another person there to witness
our opening, our risk, our becoming
can make the journey to fullness all the more beautiful.

Hi, I am Rachél Payne. I know, that first name looks a little confusing. It sounds like Rachelle…my dad was a creative speller… in fact both my parents were creative in their own way. And as I grew up, they fostered that same creative spirit in me. I started out as a young dancer, majored in theatre, and went on to teach myself to be a visual artist.
Along the way, I discovered that the arts were a gateway to healing and a vehicle for creating life itself.
I discovered that even the smallest act of creation could have a huge impact on us, that even creativity in its most everyday form could help to transform our lives. It is with this awareness that I have taken my love of the arts and built a lifestyle steeped in creativity.
Sharing my Discovery with Others
I wanted to share what I learned with others and help them tap into the potential that awaited them in their creative spirit. So I went back to school and earned my Masters in Counseling. While there I was published in a book about using creativity in counseling and was the recipient of the 2010 Association for Creativity in Counseling Grad Student Award.
My work in counseling has been so rewarding. I found though that my passion rested in being a Life Coach.
You may wonder what the difference is. To me, Counseling and Coaching are like two very close sisters. Counseling leads a more serious life that looks deep into the psyche, while Coaching is the explorer who will hang out with you on your great adventures, pointing out some alternate paths that might just make the journey easier and more interesting.
I am up for an adventure. How about you?
